My name is Elizabeth Hanson. I have been an avid shooter since my Dad gave me the first black powder rifle that he made when I was twelve years old. It is a .45 caliber percussion cap. After many years of successfully hunting whitetail deer with it, I gave it the nickname “the deer slayer”.
His fine craftsmanship created the perfect deer hunting rifle with dead on accuracy. My family had lots of fun going to Rendezvous with the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association.
I am not a trophy hunter as you will see from my photo.
Growing up I continued to only shoot black powder and it was not until I was in my late 20s that I got into modern firearms. I now enjoy shooting my Springfield Armory® MC 1911 as well as a variety of other handguns and my AR-15.
There are so many people now getting into guns that I created this site to teach people new to this sport about firearms and their accessories. Growing up there were very few women shooting guns. I am excited to see that is changing. I love taking women to the shooting range who have never shot before or who have a fear of guns to help them over come that.
Regarding my reviews. I LOVE doing research. When I research a product I try to find out as much as I possibly can about it by looking at customer reviews on sites that it is sold on, the owner’s manual and what other reviewer have said about it. Then I try to answer every little question I think someone who wants to buy it might have. Bottom line – I want to save you many hours in research! My reviews are essentially every little piece of information I can find about a product.
I am also a lifetime member of the NRA.
