#GUNVOTE

NSSF’s 2016 #GUNVOTE

There’s no secret that the majority of the press and some very powerful United States politicians want to take away your second amendment rights. We know without a doubt that Hilary Clinton as President would do all she could to take our guns away.

There are, of course, many other politicians besides Hilary that want to take away your second amendment rights. Click here for a list of some of the top gun grabbing politicians.

The 2016 elections will be a critical, turning point for the protection of our constitutional right to bear arms. We need all citizens who want to maintain their second amendment rights to go to the polls in 2016 and only vote for those who support us.

It is easy to give up and just stay home. The assault on our second amendment rights is non-stop. Obama certainly devoted much of his past eight years to undermining gun rights. There has been an increase in tragic shootings. The press has spent significant time painting an anti-gun right climate. And it is sometimes hard to figure out which politicians and candidates support us.

This is why the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) came up with the clever #GUNVOTE 2016 campaign. They believe that the votes of hunters, target shooters, and gun owners can make a difference in the political process by casting votes in favor of those candidates that will defend the second amendment.

Their goal is to get citizens who want to make a difference to register to vote, learn about which candidates support gun rights, and then talk to friends and families about this important issue and get them to vote too.

This is extremely important right now as we are at a pivotal point in the United States with the balance of the Supreme Court at stake. Therefore it is even more critical to go to the polls this November and state your opinion with your vote. Don’t risk your rights. Take action.

Fortunately for us, NSSF is taking a crucial role by spearheading this movement to get more gun rights activists at the polls. To ensure their success they are asking other powerful organizations involved as well.

On July 26, 2016. Gander Mountain announced its support to their campaign. They will provide #GUNVOTE information in their stores this fall. Gander Mountain is an outdoor retailer specializing in hunting, fishing, marine, and fishing supplies  located in Minnesota.

O.F. Mossberg & Sons also contributed $150,000 to NSSF’s 2016 #GUNVOTE campaign. To date, it’s the largest donation to the cause. Founded in 1919, Mossberg is the oldest family-owned and operated firearms manufacturer in the United States. They were the producer of the Brownie, a four-barreled .22-caliber handgun and today provide quality firearms and supplies.

Here’s what a NSSF’s Press Release had to say about the Mossberg donation.

“Mossberg’s tremendous contribution to #GUNVOTE comes at a crucial juncture in this election year, as the parties’ nominating conventions have begun,” said Lawrence Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “With this commitment, NSSF as the industry’s voice will be better able to help ensure that gun owners, hunters and target shooters are registered to vote, informed about where the candidates stand on the Second Amendment, the future of the Supreme Court, on gun control and wildlife conservation policy issues and, on Election Day, armed with that information, will go to the polls and #GUNVOTE.”
